As of this morning, May 21st, we have implemented a project that creates a new cross-reference table that generates a Unique Membership Identifier (UMI) and stores that value in a database file. This cross-reference ID is generated based on account number, not by social security number.
This allows for more ease of use for special reporting (query), as well as for custom programs/third parties. There are two main uses we see for this file:
- For credit unions to use when compiling their own custom Query reports and downloads for marketing or analysis purposes. - For use in a custom exchange program with a third-party vendor. If you have questions about incorporating this into an existing or new third-party vendor file exchange, please reach out to the Developer’s Help Desk at developershelpdesk@cuanswers.com.
Please note that the file, called UIDXREF, will appear in your credit union’s library, but this file will not be populated until Wednesday, May 22nd.
