HA Rollover Event this Weekend – Updates to be Posted on Alerts Page

Don’t forget: this weekend, we will be testing our ability to redirect CU*BASE core-processing from our production data center to our high-availability (HA) data center. The Rollover event is scheduled to begin at 3:00 AM ET on Sunday, September 14th. Once completed, CU*BASE core-processing will be provided from systems at the HA data center for a period of one week.

On Sunday, September 21st, beginning at 3:00 AM ET, we will perform Rollback procedures to return CU*BASE core-processing to the production data center.

During both the Rollover and Rollback procedures, the following services will be interrupted for approximately 60 to 90 minutes: CU*BASE/GOLD, CU*Talk audio response, and It’s Me 247 online banking (a splash page will be presented). ATM and credit card transactions will operate in stand-in mode at the switch until systems are back online.

Please note: We will be posting any/all issues related to the HA Rollover event to the CU*BASE Alerts page, compiled into a single alert located here. We will not be sending out any emails regarding individual issues for the HA Rollover. If you encounter any issues during or after the Rollover period, please refer to the CU*BASE Alerts page to see if it is currently a known issue.

ACTION REQUIRED

If you’ve not already done so, please ensure you complete the network routing updates prior to the September 14th HA Rollover: as announced earlier this month, action is required to update network routing for CBX. Refer to Network Services’ announcement on August 12th for more details: Action Required: Update to Network Routing for CBX – Las Vegas Datacenter and HA/Disaster Recovery.

If your team is unclear on what current network requirements are, please review this AnswerBook article: What are the cuasterisk.com network requirements?

Once the changes have been made, test your connection to the High Availability CBX servers via the button below. Please be aware: disregarding this connectivity test could result in staff being unable to access CBX during the Rollover.

Test Connectivity to the HA CBX Web Servers

Important: please make sure that the aforementioned connectivity test is completed at each of your branch locations.

As a reminder, we strongly encourage that someone at each branch tests connectivity to the HA data center from a GOLD workstation prior to the Rollover event. If you have not yet done so, please use the links below to complete one or both of the connectivity tests.

Please contact the CU*Answers Network Services Help Desk at helpdesk@cuanswers.com if the tests above are unsuccessful.
