Beginning January 2026: Per Transaction Pricing for Clients Using RTP or FedNow Service

The following announcement applies to credit unions Using RTP® and/or FedNow® Service payment rails.

As you may recall, when CU*Answers first introduced the RTP® and/or FedNow® Service payment rails, we waived the monthly and per-transaction fees for all of 2025. Please be aware that beginning January 2026, CU*Answers will begin charging your credit union a per-transaction fee for transactions performed via these payment rails. There will also be a monthly maintenance fee assessed.

Your credit union will see the following when billed for RTP® or FedNow® Service on your monthly invoice starting in January:

  • $0.05 per transaction
  • $100 monthly maintenance fee
