DAON TrustX Migration: Update to MOP Identity Verification Arriving Soon

As part of ongoing compliance measures, as well as our effort to improve member experience, we will soon be performing updates to the Membership Opening Process (MOP).

On Wednesday, June 3rd, we will be migrating your credit union’s license verification step within the Membership Opening Process (MOP) from DAON’s IdentityX solution to their newer TrustX cloud-based platform. This update will improve the experience for members completing license and selfie verification, and aligns with DAON’s active solution. There is no action required of your credit union.

What’s Changing?

Users can begin MOP on desktop, scan a QR code, complete license and selfie capture on mobile, and return to their desktop session. The desktop experience remains aware throughout the process, indicating progress while the mobile step is completed and then automatically advancing once finished.

This update will also provide improved handling of license and selfie capture, including a more streamlined mobile experience when the application is started on a mobile device.

What to Expect

A mobile device is now required to complete the license and selfie verification step. Please note that webcams and manual upload of license images on desktop will no longer be supported.

Applicants who complete verification can continue their application on desktop if they started there.

What’s Not Changing

Existing workflows will remain unchanged and license images will continue to archive as they currently do. Other account opening steps (such as funding and other identity verification services) will not be impacted.

Why are We Performing This Update?

This change allows us to leverage DAON’s cloud platform and ongoing updates to their license verification technology, while also providing a more consistent and reliable member experience during account opening.
