Mosaic is a skunk works development project at CU*Answers capitalizing on existing investments such as Retailer Direct, FUEL decision model and Daon identity verification to envision a new way to sign up members.

Taking the Retailer Direct software stack and making it member facing, new members can sign up for membership at your credit union.  Plugging this into the TrustX platform from Daon, we can reduce fraud through real-person checks.  Furthermore, we can use the information gleaned during the identity verification steps to pre-fill the application, therefore simplifying the application process for the member.  Pass the completed information to CBX for the FUEL decision model and you have an automated, fraud-resistant, combined membership and loan application.

The Mosaic project is currently in development.  Several teams are working together to complete the necessary APIs, integrations, and workflow pieces to streamline the workflow. Currently we are evaluating CBX tracker integration to notify credit union staff of additional member selections and information to be passed to the core during the sign up process.

In addition, Mosaic is being developed with modularity in mind, allowing credit unions to plug in additional vendors at different steps to enhance the sign up process.  Additional verification steps, product selection to enroll members in frequently selected products and switch kits are all being explored for possible inclusion.
