Enhanced Presentation of Phone Information in Online Banking

If your credit union allows personal information updates in online banking, your members will have enhanced options for viewing and updating phone information! Members will be able to add new numbers, delete numbers, re-sort numbers, adjust the mobile flag, change or add phone labels and adjust day/night settings. For phone labels, your credit union can either allow members to enter their own phone labels or only allow members to assign labels from the credit union’s configured list. This phone label maintenance setting will reside in Tool #569 “Online/Mobile/Text Banking VMS Config” along with the existing setting that controls maintenance of personal information.

In addition, online banking will display all the phone numbers in the database, instead of just the first three that display today.

If your credit union is set up for “reviewed update” of personal information changes, there will be a new Online Banking Phone Information Change Request screen from Tool #13 “Work Online Banking Apps/Requests”. This screen will list the existing phone information in the top section and the requested phone information changes in the bottom section. Once reviewed and approved, the existing phone information will be deleted and replaced by the new phone information.

Whether the credit union is set up for “direct” or “reviewed” update, keep in mind that when changes are made, the existing phone number information in the database will get completely replaced with the new phone number information. In other words, an old number is not being replaced by a new number. The maintenance of this phone information will be written to CUFMAINT for an audit trail.

International Phone Numbers

In the listing of the phone numbers, international numbers will display with the verbiage “Non-US Number”. Members cannot update the phone number itself but if your credit union uses the phone comments feature to store international numbers, the member will see these comments in online banking and will have the ability to change.
