CBX Updates and Notes
As you know, our goal with this alpha release is to get CBX into the hands of all our credit unions, to give your teams first-hand experience with the tools for as many months as possible, and to verify that tools are performing similar to GOLD. This process allows us to learn things we cannot learn in a controlled “lab” environment. For example, how we post a transaction might work perfectly but the way your team processes the transaction, or with your particular set of configurations, you may see something different.
CBX Remains in Alpha Stage
Remember that the very definition of an alpha is that the software is still in an early, unrefined state and all our credit unions are participating in helping us complete and refine it. (As opposed to a beta, where we’re reasonably confident things are “done.”) That’s why CU*BASE GOLD is still fully available to you, and GOLD will not be removed until all critical functions are ready for prime time. We fully expected you to use it whenever you hit a CBX feature that isn’t quite right.
Now that we’re getting close to completing the initial alpha rollout to all CUs, we’ve shifted our attention to compiling and sharing more details about our progress with refinements and functionality improvements. Many screens require ongoing adjustments and refinements, which makes it difficult to provide definitive status updates. That said, we are navigating these complexities and are committed to sharing as many updates as we can while still moving the train forward.
Using the Let Us Know Feature
We still encourage users to use the Let Us Know feature in CBX. We will not be able to give specific details about specific reports you submit, but will share general news about tools we’ve been testing, tools we want you to try and tools we want you to hold off on, etc.
While we appreciate everyone’s attention to detail and commitment to improvement, please note that we are not able to respond to every defect report or provide individual updates on the status of all issues. However, we remain committed to transparency and will do our best to keep everyone informed about major developments, key fixes, and significant updates as they occur.
What does it mean when a tool is done?
While a tool may still require visual refinements or polish, we consider it “done” when it reaches a usable state that meets its core functional goals. This means it’s ready for use, even if there are future improvements planned to enhance appearance or user experience. Our focus is on delivering working tools first, with the understanding that we’ll continue to refine things as needed.
CBX Updates
May 19, 2025
We are continuing to grant CBX access to credit unions across the network, however, we have 5 more waves of transition groups consisting mostly of Site-Four partner credit unions. We anticipate every network credit union will have access by July 7, 2025.
