If your credit union received the associated email, our records show that you are currently using the Pay Anyone microapp with your members. We have made the business decision to sunset this standalone app effective May 1, 2026. The primary reason for this decision is the need to plan for upgrade investments in order for the app to continue being viable for the long term. With only three institutions using this app, we have decided not to make the investment to carry this micro app into our future.
Members who wish to continue making payments this way should be encouraged to download your credit union’s flagship app and use the similar functionality available via the Paymentus P2P feature. While the user interface is slightly different, members can continue making payments to the same parties as they have been doing via the separate app.
Here is the planned timeline for the sunset:
- February 1st, 2026: A mobile alert will be published within the Pay Anyone app notifying members that the app will be discontinued as of May 1st. Your credit union can use CU Publisher to customize this alert if you wish. For example, you could add a link to a page on your website that explains the change and gives instructions on how to download your app to continue using P2P services.
- April 1st, 2026: The app will be removed from the App and Android stores so that it can no longer be downloaded.
- May 1st, 2026: A blocking alert will be published that will prevent users from logging in to the Pay Anyone app.
