SE.54 Social Media, Digital Marketing, and the State of Compliance

Special Events Training

Summary

In December 2013, the NCUA, FDIC and a handful of other regulatory bodies issued the first ever Social Media: Consumer Compliance Risk Management Guidance to both credit unions and banks.  Prior to this document’s creation, no such guidance existed and the digital marketing space was rife with non-compliance issues.

Now, in 2015 and an entire year later, many credit unions are unaware of the potential compliance and reputation risk issues that exist whether a credit union participates in social media or not.

Join Bryce Roth from Chatter Yak! LLC and Jim Vilker from Audit Link as they discuss the most commonly occurring mistakes and break down the Social Media: Consumer Compliance Risk Management Guidance report.
