Important Details for Xtend Shared Branching Clients Moving to the Las Vegas Datacenter

Earlier this year, CU*Answers shared updated details on the Western Production Environment located in Las Vegas, NV. We are now following up with details relevant to credit unions who are part of the Xtend Shared Branching Network – specifically, Shared Branching credit unions who are located in the Mountain, Pacific or Hawaiian time zones, as well as those that are expected to migrate to the Las Vegas Datacenter.

Any/all credit unions who migrate to the Western Production Environment will no longer be a part of the Xtend Shared Branching network. If your credit union is slated to move to the Las Vegas Datacenter, please be aware that this move will impact your credit union’s ability to utilize other locations, including Xtend Shared Branching partners who would have previously been able to send members to nearby locations.

While CU*Answers is diligently working on a solution to support box-to-box shared branching, for the time being any Shared Branching arrangements only work for credit unions who are on the same production system. Therefore as credit unions are moved to the Las Vegas Datacenter, their Xtend Shared Branching network will shift to include only other credit unions already on that same datacenter.

Xtend will reach out directly to any credit unions that will be migrating to the Las Vegas Datacenter. Additionally, credit unions can share information with their members before and after the migration process, to help them stay informed about these changes. We recommend that all network credit unions keep a close eye on future communications from Xtend.
