Viewing Check Images via CU*BASE Trans History

This recipe outlines a couple of approaches to adding functionality to CU*BASE Transaction History (via both Inquiry and Phone Op) so that employees can access check images by clicking a button on an individual transaction item, similar to how members can view check images via It’s Me 247 online banking.

There are currently 28 different check processing vendors for which we have an interface in It’s Me 247 so that members can view check images online.  After discussions with key technical leaders and CU*Answers management, it was decided to start developing a technical solution for our IP clients (CU*Spy) and at least one other check image processor as a proof of concept.

Key Project Components

  • Create a configuration for CUs to activate the optional display of check images for employees via CU*BASE
  • Add a “View Check” pushbutton in Transaction History via the Additional Information pop-up window
  • Create a new mechanism to leverage the interfaces we already have in place for It’s Me 247, translated in such a way as to allow CU*BASE GOLD to retrieve and display the image (similar to how Photo IDs are handled)

Status Update 12/18/2018:  Project #44725 is scheduled for the 19.05 release.
