This recipe outlines the next phase of development planned for eAlerts, including new uses for the notifications engine via our mobile app that is currently used by card activity alerts.
- Add a push notification option to all existing and future new eAlerts
This will allow members four choices whenever they set up an eAlert subscription: email message, message to the It’s Me 247 Secure Message Center, text message, and now an alert to their mobile device via our mobile app.
Status as of February 2022: Project #55320 is awaiting availability of programming resources. - Add an eAlert subscriptions feature to BizLink 247
We will replicate all of the existing alerts available to members in It’s Me 247, but make a change to PIB-MLO controls to allow the business member to control which employees can create/edit eAlert subscriptions, and which employees will receive eAlert notifications via email, in addition to the email address on the primary membership.
Status: Project #55329 is awaiting availability of programming resources.
- Change the eAlert verbiage to include part of the account base
For members who have multiple members, this should make it easier to see to which membership the alert applies.
Status: Project #55320 is awaiting availability of programming resources.
- Change timing for BOD/EOD eAlerts
For daily balance and other similar alerts that are generated as part of nightly processing, we will store up the alert notifications and send them all as soon as possible after 7am CU local time, instead of in the middle of the night when EOD/BOD is actually run.
Status: Project #55713 is currently in development.
- Create a list of generic push notifications that a CU can activate to go to all members
The idea here is to come up with some low-hanging fruit of items we could easily push out via the mobile app notifications engine, to all members who have opted in for notifications. Things like eStatement notifications, Red Flag address change warnings, Reg. D transfer status, and Contact Me replies from a CU employee are being considered.
Status: Still in the early design phase.
