See/Jump/Transfer
This project adds a new kind of automation to give members total access to their accounts via It’s Me 247 online banking. These new credit union-defined controls will go far beyond the traditional Transfer Controls, to let members...
...SEE all of their accounts in one place – if activated at the credit union level, this new feature will allow members to designate what other accounts can see their account in online banking.
...JUMP quickly to another account without logging out – if activated at the credit union level, this feature will allow members to indicate what other accounts can jump to their account without authenticating a second time. To ensure member privacy, the system will only allow one jump during the member’s online banking session.
...TRANSFER funds with even greater security – for credit unions that allow members to enter an account base and suffix when choosing an account to transfer to, we’ve added a requirement to input the first three letters of the last name to prevent mistakes. We’ve also added the ability for credit unions to allow a transfer control list (for fast and frequent transfers, such as a family member), while also allowing the member to input the account base, suffix and first three letters of the last name for those one-off transfers!
Both See and Jump privileges can be granted to anyone who is listed as a joint owner on the membership (000) share account. For a member who is listed as the primary owner on more than one membership, the See/Jump privileges can be set up so the member can easily see both sets of accounts from the same login and/or quickly jump from one membership to another.
- View a prototype screen from our developers
- Open the overview presentation (updated 1/25/2012)
Status: Implemented in the 11.6 release. You'll need to work with a Client Service Representative to activate the various controls. And since the permissions must be set up by a CU employee in CU*BASE, you'll need to develop new procedures to assist members to designate who has permission to access their accounts online.
Next up...
- Adding guest information to login history. We will be incorporating information into the Online Banking Login History feature to show when a Guest has logged into a member's account via the new Jump feature. Status: In development; targeting the 12.0 release.
- Showing who was served in the transaction history. When a transaction is posted for a joint owner using the Currently Serving feature in CU*BASE teller processing, the system will soon be able to display that person's name in CU*BASE Transaction History as well as in both Online Banking and Mobile Web banking. This will also apply to transfers posted when a guest is logged into a member's account via Jump.Status: Specifications completed; no target date yet.
New Navigation Concepts
With all of the new features and products we keep adding to It’s Me 247 online banking, it’s time to refresh the techniques members use to get around on the site. We’ve been working with a terrific designer who is laying out some slick new formats and improvements to the underlying style sheets. The new look will make it a lot easier to learn and find things. Menu layouts allow for on-the-spot marketing of features and tools. There will be fewer clicks to get to commonly-used features. And of course, we’ll have plenty of room for future growth.
Check out some samples (remember these are prototypes only; we’re still tweaking the final look).
Other Recipes
These projects are either currently in development or in the design stage:
- A design refresh for the Loan Application - bringing the online loan app up to date with a fresh look that matches the rest of the site and a foundation for future enhancements (also see the Lender*VP Top 10 Priorities for 2012)
- A design refresh for the Membership Application - similar style changes to the online membership application pages
- Mobile Web access to EasyPay powered by Fiserv (EasyPay powered by iPay for Mobile Web was in the 11.5 release) Status: In process; working with Fiserv on certifications and shooting for a release first half 2012
- Single sign-on integration to CFS online investment services tools Status: still in design stage; see CFS Integration also in the Kitchen
- Printing loan coupons from It’s Me 247 . Status: still in design stage
- Printing TIS disclosures and other Misc. Member Account forms in It’s Me 247 , either when opening new accounts or on demand from the rate board. Status: still in design stage
- Accumulating mobile web statistics for CU*BASE dashboards. Status: currently in QC testing; no target release date yet but likely mid-2012
- Allowing multiple logins to business memberships - allow for up to 6 alternate login IDs per membership, each with its own password and security questions. Access privileges could be controlled by ID, probably with a few major groupings like “view” and “post” and “jump to SSO links.” Status: still in design stage
