Conversion Team Introduction
This introduction comes directly from our own portal, where we help employees understand each department's role at CU*Answers. Here, we share the same information with you that we share with our employees.
Martha Anderson Ford
Vice President of Delivery Services
Welcome to the Conversion Team. Conversions are one of the core functions of CU*Answers. Without new conversions, CU*Answers would not continue to grow.
The Conversion Team works on data processing conversions for new clients, credit union mergers, and, in the unfortunate event a credit union decides to leave CU*Answers, we will handle their de-conversion as well. If a credit union is currently a self-processor with CU*Answers and decides they want to go online, we will coordinate that process with them.
The Conversion Team not only includes those of us in the Conversion Department, it also includes the programmers who work with the Conversion Coordinators on conversions, the CSRs who do the training at the credit union, Network Services staff who order and set up the hardware at the credit union, and all the support staff who are at the credit union after the conversion.
Last year, all departments coordinated their efforts and composed "The CU*BASE Conversion Promise - Guaranteeing the Difference". Several copies of this booklet are given to a new credit union client during our initial visit. It outlines the conversion process, what the credit union can expect from CU*Answers and the conversion team and what we will expect from the credit union to make their data processing transition smooth. Board members and all credit union staff are encouraged to read it in preparation for the upcoming conversion. A link to 'The Conversion Promise' is on our Intranet site as well as www.cuanswers.com.
We are constantly improving the conversion process and readily accept suggestions from other CU*Answers departments. The Conversion Team is dedicated to making a credit union's data processing transition succeed.
When not at CU*Answers, Martha spends her time analyzing the migratory and feeding patterns of the Ruby Throated Hummingbird as well as the communication skills of the native Gray Squirrel.
